2015 Black & Blue Schedule of Events
TUESDAY OCTOBER 20 REGISTRATION
2:00pm-6:00pm Registration and distribution of team bags in front of Puerto Paraiso Mall.
6:00pm-7:00pm Captains Meeting, Puerto Paraiso Mall. One team member must attend.
7:00pm-9:00pm Opening Ceremonies begin: Flag Honors with Mexican Naval Escort, Mexican National Anthem, Pre-Colombian New Fire Dance, Lighting of the Tournament Torch, Japanese Taiko Drums, Music by Cabomax.

WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY-FRIDAY OCTOBER 21 – 23 FISHING DAYS
8:00am Shotgun Start.
8:00am-5:00pm Tournament Fishing; lines must be out of the water by 5:00pm.
2:00pm-9:00pm Weigh Station is open in front of the Puerto Paraiso Mall, boats inside the harbour entrance by 9:00pm can weigh.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 24 AWARDS CELEBRATION
7:00pm-8:30pm Awards Celebration starts off with cocktails followed by dinner and a big screen presentation of the tournament video. The awards presentation starts after viewing the tournament video followed by music by Cabomax. Open to tournament participants only.

Hot Rod Roars Into Winner’s Circle

John Peelman and Team Hot Rod know what it takes to win. The Fresno, California angler and his veteran crew adapted to difficult conditions and brought the winning fish to the scales Friday afternoon to earn top honors in the 2015 Bisbee’s East Cape Offshore Tournament. The 409-pound blue marlin, caught on a live skipjack bridled on the downrigger 70 feet below the hot surface, was worth $366,531. The total purse in this year’s 61-boat event, which was sponsored by Pelagic High Performance Offshore Gear, was nearly $508,000.

Some days every boat spot marlin, some had a marlin, ather day caught nothing.The fish moved around. Mr. Harry Sparlow and family spent the day aboard our great 36′ Crystal Lyner “Ursula IV” with Captain Ricardo at the helm and Miguel as his loyalty First mate aboard the Ursula IV and was one fortunate, as on August 05 they managed to release 2 striped marlin, and a regular size dorado

Dorado winner at the 2015 San Jose Fishing Tournament

Brad Erickson, captain of the “EL BURROO III” fishing team, wons the 1st place of the Dorado division in the 2015 Fiestas Tradicionales de San Jose Fishing Tournament.

When he shows up to the scales, by 3:33 pm, less than a half and hour prior the scales closes, there were a couple of qualifyings ones two;  but once the weight was anounced: 29 lbs, every one knows he will be the winner.
